Indications
This tablet is intended for:
- Enhancing recovery and reducing neurological damage post cerebral stroke.
- Addressing minor age-related neurological disorders.
- Alleviating certain visual and inner ear disorders associated with circulation issues such as hearing loss, dizziness, and ear buzzing.
Pharmacology
Combining raubasine, a vasodilator, with almitrine, a respiratory stimulant, this tablet offers a unique approach. Raubasine exhibits adrenolytic activity primarily through post-synaptic blocking effects. Additionally, almitrine boosts arterial blood oxygen levels (PaO2) and saturation (SaO2) without altering ventilatory parameters, particularly beneficial under cerebral hypoxia conditions.
Dosage & Administration
Take one tablet once or twice daily, spaced several hours apart, with a maximum of two tablets per day, or as prescribed by a registered physician.
Interactions
Avoid combining with MAO-l (monoamine oxidase inhibitor) and refrain from concurrent use with other almitrine-containing medications.
Contraindications
This tablet is not suitable for patients with hypersensitivity to any of its ingredients or severe hepatic impairment.
Side Effects
Possible side effects include weight loss, nausea, stomach discomfort, gastrointestinal issues, changes in sleep patterns, agitation, dizziness, and palpitations.
Pregnancy & Lactation
Not recommended during pregnancy; use with caution only if the potential benefit outweighs fetal risks.
Precautions & Warnings
Due to lactose content, avoid in cases of galactosemia, glucose and galactose malabsorption syndrome, or lactose deficiency. Adhere strictly to recommended dosage limits.
Overdose Effects
Overdose symptoms may include tachycardia, arterial hypotension, increased breathing rate, and respiratory alkalosis.
Therapeutic Class
Belongs to the category of cerebral vasodilator and neurosensory oxygenator drugs.
