Indications
Square Zinc is recommended for addressing zinc deficiency and/or conditions resulting in zinc loss. Such deficiencies may arise due to inadequate dietary intake or impaired absorption. Zinc depletion can also manifest in cases of trauma, burns, diarrhea, and protein loss. A zinc supplement is typically prescribed until noticeable clinical improvements occur, although prolonged usage might be necessary for severe malabsorption, metabolic disorders, or ongoing zinc loss conditions.
Pharmacology
Comprising zinc sulfate monohydrate, Square Zinc plays a crucial role as an essential trace element, participating in various enzymatic processes within the body. Zinc is indispensable for normal growth, overall health, sexual maturation, reproductive health, adaptation to low light conditions, and sensory functions including taste and smell. Additionally, it contributes to insulin regulation, immune system function, and wound healing. Insufficient zinc levels may result in compromised immunity, delayed wound healing, sensory impairment, increased susceptibility to infections, visual disturbances, reproductive issues, and other health concerns.
