Description:

Mevin SR, a musculotropic antispasmodic agent, effectively alleviates stomach and intestinal cramps or spasms, notably in conditions like irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). Its mechanism involves muscle relaxation, aiding in the restoration of normal gut movement.

Dosage & Administration:

For adults, elderly individuals, and children over 10 years old:

Mebeverine Hydrochloride 135 mg tablet: Take 1 tablet three times daily.
Mebeverine Hydrochloride 200 mg capsule: Take 1 capsule twice daily.

Optimal efficacy is achieved when taken 20 minutes before meals. Once the desired effect is attained after several weeks, the dosage may be gradually reduced.

In case of a missed dose, take it as soon as possible. However, if it’s almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one and maintain the regular schedule. Avoid doubling the dose.

Contraindications:

Avoid Mevin SR if there’s hypersensitivity to the drug or any of its components.
