Indications

Vivis is designed to support age-related eye health. This advanced antioxidant supplement offers essential nutritional support to the eyes through a unique combination of vitamins, minerals, and Lutein.

Composition

Each capsule contains:

• Vitamin C: 60 mg
• Vitamin E: 30 mg
• Lutein (Pharmaceutical grade): 6 mg
• Copper (as Cupric oxide, Pharmaceutical grade): 2 mg
• Zinc (as Zinc oxide, British Pharmacopeia): 15 mg

Pharmacology

Vitamin C is found in high concentrations in the eye’s lens and may reduce cataract risk with long-term use. It helps neutralize harmful free radicals.
Vitamin E, an antioxidant, has been linked to a reduced risk of cataracts, although its exact mechanism is not fully understood.
Lutein, a carotenoid concentrated in the macula, may protect against oxidative damage and light exposure. Studies suggest high dietary Lutein levels could lower the risk of Age-Related Macular Degeneration (AMD).
Zinc is crucial for enzyme function and deficiency can lead to various health issues including impaired taste and smell, poor wound healing, and increased infection risk.
Copper is essential for growth, skeletal health, and nervous system development, participating in various metabolic processes.

Dosage & Administration

Side Effects

Precautions & Warnings

Use Vitamin C cautiously in patients with hyperoxaluria. Monitor Vitamin E intake in patients on oral anticoagulants or estrogen, as it may affect vitamin K activity and increase blood clotting time.
