Indications
The combination of Ispaghula Husk and Mebeverine Hydrochloride is specifically indicated for managing various forms of Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), including IBS with constipation (IBS-C), IBS with diarrhea (IBS-D), and alternating IBS (IBS-A).
Pharmacology
This formulation pairs Ispaghula Husk with Mebeverine Hydrochloride to target the core symptoms of IBS—painful intestinal spasms and irregular bowel movements. Ispaghula Husk is rich in both soluble (up to 70%) and insoluble (30%) fibers, giving it the ability to absorb water up to 40 times its weight. By increasing dietary fiber, it enhances the efficiency of the digestive system and naturally alleviates bowel irregularities, promoting regularity. Mebeverine, an antispasmodic agent, alleviates painful spasms and cramps in the gut while maintaining normal gut motility.
Dosage & Administration
Ispaghula Husk and Mebeverine Hydrochloride should be taken orally as a suspension in water. Dissolve the granules from a sachet into a glass of water, and consume once the effervescence settles.
- Adults and children over 12 years: Take one sachet in the morning and one in the evening, each with a full glass of water. Ideally, the dose should be taken 30 minutes before a meal. A midday dose may be added if necessary.
- Consult your doctor for the recommended dose.
Interaction
Ispaghula Husk may slow gastric emptying and interfere with the absorption of minerals like calcium, iron, and zinc. To avoid this, other medications or supplements should be taken at least one hour before or several hours after consuming Ispaghula Husk and Mebeverine.

This product is contraindicated for individuals allergic to its ingredients, those with intestinal obstruction, fecal impaction, or patients diagnosed with phenylketonuria.
Side Effects

Ispaghula Husk does not enter the bloodstream or pass into breast milk, but Mebeverine Hydrochloride does. As a result, this medication should only be used during pregnancy if deemed necessary by a healthcare provider.
