Indications
Lulexa Cream is designed for the effective topical treatment of various fungal infections, including interdigital tinea pedis, tinea cruris, and tinea corporis. It targets infections caused by Trichophyton rubrum and Epidermophyton floccosum.
Pharmacology
Luliconazole, the active ingredient in Lulexa Cream, is a potent topical antifungal within the azole class. It functions by inhibiting lanosterol demethylase, a crucial enzyme in the synthesis of ergosterol, which is vital for maintaining the integrity of fungal cell membranes. This mechanism results in strong fungicidal effects against a range of pathogens, including dermatophytes, Candida albicans, Malassezia spp., and other fungi such as Trichophyton and Epidermophyton species.
