Indications

Grincal DX is recommended for the following conditions:

• Treatment of osteoporosis, rickets, osteomalacia, tetany, and hypoparathyroidism.
• To address the increased demand for calcium during pregnancy and lactation.
• Management of kidney diseases and pancreatitis.
• For individuals undergoing therapy with antiseizure medications.
• To prevent and treat deficiencies in Calcium and Vitamin D3.

Composition

Each film-coated tablet of Grincal DX contains:

• Calcium Carbonate (Algae Source) BP: 1250 mg, providing 500 mg of elemental calcium.
• Vitamin D3: 200 IU as Cholecalciferol USP.

Pharmacology

Calcium (from algae sources) is a crucial element for maintaining bone health and strength. It supports the structural framework of the body by aiding in bone formation. Studies show that calcium plays a key role in preventing and treating osteoporosis and its related fractures.

Dosage and Administration

• Recommended Adult Dosage: Take 1 tablet in the morning and 1 tablet at night.

Drug Interactions

• With medications: Calcium salts may reduce the absorption of bisphosphonates, ciprofloxacin, fluorides, iron, levothyroxine, tetracyclines, and zinc.

Contraindications

Side Effects
