Composition
Each film-coated tablet comprises:
- Calcium Carbonate sourced from algae (BP 1250 mg, equivalent to elemental Calcium 500 mg).
- Vitamin D3 200 IU as Cholecalciferol (USP).
Pharmacology
This formulation combines Calcium (derived from algae) and Vitamin D3, essential elements that play pivotal roles in bodily functions. Calcium strengthens the body’s framework by fortifying bones, with clinical evidence supporting its efficacy in preventing and treating osteoporosis and associated fractures. Vitamin D3 aids in calcium absorption from the gastrointestinal tract, promoting healthy bones and stimulating bone formation. Controlled clinical studies underscore the synergistic effects of Calcium and Vitamin D3 on bone growth, as well as their preventive role in osteoporosis and fractures.
