Each extended-release capsule contains:
- Ferrous Sulphate: 150 mg
- Folic Acid: 0.5 mg

Pharmacology:
- Iron: An essential mineral that supports red blood cell production and oxygen transport in the body. Iron deficiency can lead to anemia, and iron from liver sources should be avoided during pregnancy due to high Vitamin A content.
- Folic Acid: Vital for the synthesis of nucleoproteins and purines, Folic Acid plays a key role in red blood cell production and helps combat folate-deficiency anemia.
- Vitamin C: Important for collagen formation, tissue repair, and various metabolic functions, including the conversion of folic acid to folinic acid.
- Vitamin B Complex: A group of essential nutrients that support energy production and cell health. Each vitamin in the B complex group plays a unique role in the body’s metabolic functions, and deficiencies can lead to various health issues.
Dosage & Administration:
The recommended dosage is one capsule daily. For more severe deficiencies, two capsules per day may be required, or as advised by your healthcare provider.
Interactions:
Exercise caution when administering this supplement to individuals with disorders affecting iron absorption or storage. The absorption of iron can be reduced when taken alongside antacids or tetracycline.
Contraindications:
This product should not be used by individuals allergic to any of its components. Iron therapy is contraindicated for individuals with hemochromatosis, haemosiderosis, or those receiving frequent blood transfusions. It should be used cautiously in patients taking Levodopa, as Pyridoxine (Vitamin B6) may reduce its effectiveness.
Side Effects:
Generally well-tolerated, though some allergic reactions may occur in rare cases.
Pregnancy & Lactation:
This supplement is recommended for use during pregnancy and breastfeeding to support nutritional needs.
Precautions & Warnings:
Use with caution in individuals who may develop iron overload, including those with hemochromatosis or haemolytic anemia. Iron absorption can be hindered when taken alongside tetracycline.
Overdose Effects:
Iron overdose can be dangerous, especially in children under 6, and may result in symptoms such as vomiting, diarrhea, and abdominal pain. Riboflavin is considered safe with no known toxicity. Excessive intake of Nicotinamide can cause gastrointestinal upset. Long-term consumption of high doses of Pyridoxine may lead to sensory neuropathy. Overdosing on Folic Acid is rare and unlikely to cause harm. Even massive doses of Ascorbic Acid generally do not lead to significant effects.
