Pharmacology
This formulation combines magaldrate and simethicone. Magaldrate, a magnesium-aluminum compound (Hydroxymagnesium Aluminate), neutralizes gastric acid rapidly while keeping the pH between 5 and 6. It also reduces the activity of pepsin in gastric secretions. Simethicone, the second active ingredient in Marlox Plus, aids in the coalescence of gas bubbles, providing effective relief from flatulence.
