Indications

Magfin is recommended for the following conditions:

• Constipation
• Hyperacidity accompanied by constipation
• Anorectal disorders
• Post-operative constipation
• Constipation linked to chronic cholecystitis
• Hernia

Pharmacology

Magfin features a unique dual-action formulation that combines a gentle laxative agent with a lubricant, providing relief from the discomfort associated with straining during bowel movements. It is designed for temporary relief of constipation.

Dosage & Administration

The suggested oral dosages are as follows:

Adults: 15-30 ml before breakfast or at bedtime.

Children:

• Ages 7 and above: 7.5 ml – 15 ml at bedtime.
• Ages 3-7: 5 ml – 10 ml at bedtime.

For better taste, the dose can be mixed with milk or half a glass of water. Do not exceed one week of use unless advised by a healthcare professional.

Interactions

Cimetidine, diuretics, famotidine, and ranitidine may irritate the stomach or bowel.

Contraindications

Avoid use in cases of acute gastrointestinal conditions, such as abdominal pain.

Side Effects

Possible side effects may include rectal irritation and potassium loss, which can manifest as thirst, weakness, nausea, or diarrhea.

Pregnancy & Lactation

Magfin is generally considered safe for use by pregnant and lactating mothers.

Overdose Effects

To date, no cases of overdose have been reported.
