Tynium

Indications

Tynium is an effective antispasmodic medication designed to alleviate muscle spasms in the gastrointestinal tract, biliary system, bladder, and uterus. It is primarily used for the symptomatic relief of pain caused by functional disorders in the digestive and biliary systems. Additionally, Tynium is beneficial in treating spasms and discomfort related to various urological and gynecological conditions.

Pharmacology

Tynium contains Tiemonium Methylsulphate, which acts as a competitive antagonist to Acetylcholine and Histamine. It enhances the bond between calcium and membrane phospholipids, inhibiting the contractile proteins in visceral cells. This mechanism effectively reduces spasms and pain associated with the internal organs, providing relief from visceral discomfort.

Dosage & Administration

• Tablet/Syrup:
  • Adults: The recommended dose is typically between 2-6 tablets or 3-9 teaspoonfuls of syrup per day, divided into multiple doses.
  • Children: The recommended dose is 3 ml/kg or 6 mg/kg of body weight per day, administered in divided doses.
• Injection: Administer one injection 3 times daily, either intravenously (slowly) or intramuscularly.
• Suppository: Insert one 20 mg suppository into the rectum two to three times a day.

• Pediatric Use: The safety and effectiveness of Tynium Methylsulphate in children have not been established.
• Geriatric Use: Tynium has been shown to be effective and safe for older adults, with no significant changes in efficacy with age.

Overdose Effects

There is currently no available data regarding the effects of an overdose of Tynium Methylsulphate.
