Indications
Tofen Eye Drops are designed to alleviate the symptoms of allergic conjunctivitis, such as itchy, watery, red, and swollen eyes and eyelids. They are effective in treating various conditions, including vernal keratoconjunctivitis, blepharitis, blepharo-conjunctivitis, and giant papillary conjunctivitis.
Pharmacology
Tofen Eye Drops contain ketotifen, a powerful anti-allergic agent known for its non-competitive histamine (H1) receptor antagonism. Ketotifen blocks the release of key inflammatory mediators like histamine, leukotrienes, and prostaglandins. Additionally, it stabilizes mast cells and reduces the activation and degranulation of eosinophils.
Dosage & Administration
- Adults and children aged 3 years and older: Apply 1 drop in the affected eye(s) twice daily, ideally every 8-12 hours. Do not exceed twice per day.
- Children under 3 years: Consult a physician for appropriate dosage.
Always follow your healthcare provider’s instructions.
Interactions
Allow a minimum of 5 minutes between applying Tofen Eye Drops and any other eye medications.
Contraindications
Tofen Eye Drops should not be used if you have a known hypersensitivity to ketotifen or any of the other ingredients.

Possible side effects include burning, stinging, blurred vision, dry eyes, eyelid issues, conjunctivitis, eye pain, sensitivity to light, and subconjunctival hemorrhage.
