Composition
Each milliliter of this eye drop contains:
- Glycerin USP: 2 mg
- Hypromellose BP: 3.6 mg
- Polyethylene Glycol 400 USP: 10 mg
- Tetrahydrozoline Hydrochloride USP: 0.5 mg
- Zinc Sulfate Monohydrate USP (equivalent to Zinc Sulfate): 2.5 mg
Pharmacology
This formulation combines Glycerin, Hypromellose, Polyethylene Glycol 400, Tetrahydrozoline Hydrochloride, and Zinc Sulfate. Glycerin effectively restores moisture to dry eyes, while Hypromellose acts as an artificial tear, helping to hydrate the cornea and conjunctiva. Polyethylene Glycol 400 enhances the stability of the tear film. Tetrahydrozoline Hydrochloride helps reduce redness in the eyes, and Zinc Sulfate serves as an astringent agent.
Dosage & Administration
- Adults: Instill 1 to 2 drops in the affected eye(s) up to four times daily or as directed by a physician.
