Indications
Salbutamol sulfate & Ipratropium bromide solution for inhalation is used to treat reversible bronchospasm in patients with obstructive airway diseases who require more than one bronchodilator.
Description
This inhalation solution combines Salbutamol Sulphate and Ipratropium Bromide, potent bronchodilators. Salbutamol acts on airway smooth muscles, while Ipratropium inhibits vagally mediated reflexes. Together, they provide superior bronchodilation without systemic side effects, targeting the lungs locally.
Pharmacology
Ipratropium Bromide is minimally absorbed systemically after inhalation. Salbutamol is rapidly absorbed, reaching peak plasma concentrations within hours and is primarily excreted unchanged in urine.
Dosage
Administer one 3 ml ampoule via nebulizer four times daily in adults (including elderly). Children’s usage should be determined by a doctor.
Administration
- Twist off the ampoule top and hold it upright.
- Squeeze the required nebulizer solution amount into the chamber.
- Follow physician’s directions for dilution if needed.
