Pharmacology
This formulation is a blend of antitussive, decongestant, and antihistamine agents. Dextromethorphan is a non-narcotic, effective cough suppressant, acting on the cough center in the brain without the risk of dependency or sedation. Phenylephrine works as a decongestant by narrowing blood vessels in the nasal passage, alleviating congestion in the nasal and sinus areas. Triprolidine, an H1-receptor antagonist, provides relief from histamine-triggered symptoms like sneezing and itching. It may cause mild drowsiness due to its mild sedative properties.
Dosage

- Children (6 to under 12 years): Administer ½ teaspoon (2.5 ml) every 4 hours, or as advised by a doctor.
