Pharmacology
Montelukast, the active ingredient in Reversair CT, is a selective leukotriene receptor antagonist. It works by blocking the cysteinyl leukotriene receptor (CysLT1), which helps reduce airway inflammation and bronchoconstriction caused by leukotrienes, substances involved in asthma and allergic rhinitis. By inhibiting these receptors, Montelukast helps improve airflow and reduce symptoms like wheezing and shortness of breath associated with asthma.
