Description:
Revatol is a classical polyherbal ayurvedic preparation rich in resveratrol and proanthocyanidins (PCOs), effective in Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Diseases. Vitis vinifera, the principal herb in Revatol, belongs to the Vitaceae family and is known as grapes or Drakkha in Bangladesh.
Pharmacology:
Grapes contain bioflavonoid-like ingredients called proanthocyanidins (PCOs or OPCs) which have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Resveratrol, isolated from grape skin, further enhances these effects, potentially protecting against COPD and asthma.
