Indications

Momeson cream is formulated to provide relief from inflammatory and itchy conditions associated with corticosteroid-responsive skin disorders, including psoriasis and atopic dermatitis.

Pharmacology

Mometasone, the active ingredient in Momeson, is a potent corticosteroid known for its anti-inflammatory effects. While the exact mechanism of corticosteroids in managing allergic rhinitis remains unclear, research indicates that these steroids impact various cell types—such as mast cells, eosinophils, neutrophils, macrophages, and lymphocytes—and influence several inflammatory mediators, including histamine, eicosanoids, leukotrienes, and cytokines.

Dosage & Administration

Apply a thin layer of Mometasone Furoate cream to the affected areas of the skin once daily. The safety and effectiveness of this treatment have not been established for pediatric patients under 2 years of age.

Contraindications

Momeson cream is contraindicated for individuals with a known hypersensitivity to Mometasone or any of its components.

Side Effects

Pregnancy & Lactation

Pregnancy: There is a lack of adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women.
Lactation: It is unclear whether Mometasone passes into breast milk.
