Freezy Nasal Inhaler

Indications

Cream: Our combined formulation, Freezy, offers temporary relief from minor muscle and joint aches associated with various conditions such as backache, lumbago, strains, bruises, sprains, arthritis, rheumatic pain, as well as pain of tendons and ligaments. Numerous double-blind clinical trials have demonstrated Freezy’s efficacy in alleviating minor skeletal muscle stress and arthritis pain, thanks to its active ingredients Methyl Salicylate and Menthol.

Nasal Inhaler Stick: Indicated for relieving nasal congestion or blockage.

Composition

Cream: Each gram of Freezy cream contains:

• Methyl Salicylate BP 300 mg
• Menthol BP 100 mg
• Camphor BP 40 mg

Nasal Inhaler Stick: Each gram contains extracts of:

• Wintergreen oil (as Methyl salicylate) 122.70 mg
• Mentha Piperita (as Menthol) 415.40 mg
• Cinnamomum Camphora (as Camphor) 415.40 mg

Pharmacology

Cream: Freezy’s ingredients work synergistically to reduce pain. Camphor exhibits spasmolytic action on smooth muscle, reducing muscle spasm by decreasing Ca2+ influx. It also raises the pain threshold, making pain stimuli less likely to be transmitted to the brain. Menthol provides a cooling and soothing effect by stimulating cold receptors, while Methyl Salicylate inhibits cyclooxygenase enzyme, reducing prostaglandin synthesis and thus pain sensation.

Nasal Inhaler Stick: Menthol and Camphor act as decongestants, unblocking congested noses and reducing throat irritation. Wintergreen Oil aids in germ elimination and provides relief from illness symptoms.

Dosage & Administration

Cream:

• Adults and Children (over 2 years): Apply generously to the affected area and gently massage until absorbed, up to 3 to 4 times daily.
• Children (under 2 years): Consult a healthcare professional before use.

Nasal Inhaler Stick:

• Adults and Children (over 12 years): Insert the inhaler into each nostril, close the other nostril, and inhale deeply as needed.

Interaction

Methyl Salicylate may enhance the action of Warfarin by affecting vitamin K metabolism or displacing it from protein-binding sites.

Contraindications

Cream: Avoid in patients with bleeding disorders, known allergy to Salicylate, or sensitivity to any components. Do not apply to broken or raw skin surfaces.

Nasal Inhaler Stick: Not recommended for individuals hypersensitive to the active substance or any excipients, and for children under 12 years of age.

Side Effects

Cream: Avoid application to broken skin. Skin irritation may occur.

Nasal Inhaler Stick: Temporary burning, stinging, dryness, or sneezing may occur.

Pregnancy & Lactation

Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding only if clearly needed.

Precautions & Warnings

For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes, mucous membranes, or broken skin. Keep out of reach of children. Long-term or excessive use may cause skin irritation. Use caution in patients with impaired kidney or liver function, and in children under 12 with arthritis-like conditions.
