Dermomix Cream

Indications

This cream is recommended for the treatment of:

• Mixed and complex infections caused by fungi, protozoa, and bacteria
• Mild to moderate cases of vaginitis
• Candidiasis and trichomoniasis
• Vulvar itching (pruritus vulvae)
• Dermatitis
• Eczema
• Genitourinary infections

Composition

Each gram of cream contains:

• Clobetasol Propionate USP: 0.50 mg
• Ofloxacin USP: 7.50 mg
• Ornidazole INN: 20 mg
• Terbinafine Hydrochloride BP: 10 mg

Pharmacology

This cream features a powerful combination that provides antibacterial, antifungal, anti-protozoal, and anti-inflammatory effects. Ofloxacin is a broad-spectrum antibiotic effective against various gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. Ornidazole, belonging to the nitroimidazole class, effectively treats amoebic and trichomonas infections. Terbinafine, an allylamine antifungal, inhibits ergosterol biosynthesis, a critical component of fungal cell membranes, leading to cell death by blocking the Squalene Epoxidase enzyme. Clobetasol is a potent corticosteroid that demonstrates anti-inflammatory, anti-itching (anti-pruritic), and vasoconstrictive properties.

Dosage & Administration

Apply the cream gently to the affected area twice daily.
