Indications
Clindamycin and Tretinoin gel effectively treats Acne vulgaris through topical application.
Pharmacology
This gel combines the lincosamide antibiotic Clindamycin phosphate with the retinoid Tretinoin. Clindamycin targets susceptible bacteria by binding to the 50s ribosomal subunit, suppressing bacterial protein synthesis and inhibiting Propionibacterium acne activity. Tretinoin enhances follicular epithelial cell turnover, reducing comedone formation.
Dosage & Administration
Before bedtime, gently wash the face with mild soap and water, then apply the gel using fingertips. In the morning, apply sunscreen after the gel application. Limit face washing to 2 or 3 times a day and use sunscreen as needed.
