Indications
Celofen is used for managing pain and inflammation associated with conditions such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, toothaches, trauma, and lumbago.
Always use as directed by a registered healthcare professional.
Pharmacology
Celofen contains Aceclofenac, a powerful non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that offers both anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects. By inhibiting the cyclooxygenase enzyme, Aceclofenac reduces the production of prostaglandins, which are responsible for inflammation and pain. When taken orally, Aceclofenac is quickly and fully absorbed without alteration in the body.
Dosage & Administration
- Extended-Release Tablet: For adults, the typical dosage is 200 mg of Aceclofenac once daily, or as prescribed by your physician.
- Film-Coated Tablet: The recommended dose for adults is 100 mg, taken twice daily.
Please follow the guidance of a registered healthcare professional for the appropriate dosage.

Contraindications

Side Effects
Common side effects include gastrointestinal disturbances, dizziness, and rash. Most side effects are mild, but consult your healthcare provider if you experience any unusual symptoms.
Pregnancy & Lactation
The use of Aceclofenac is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding unless the potential benefit to the mother outweighs the potential risk to the fetus or child.

Use Celofen with caution in individuals with active or suspected peptic ulcers, gastrointestinal bleeding, severe liver conditions, or kidney or heart problems. It is also advised to use this medication carefully in patients with a history of dizziness or skin reactions like urticaria (hives).
