Indications

This eye drop formulation is designed to treat lens opacification effectively.

Composition

Each milliliter of this sterile eye drop contains:

• Adenosine BP: 2 mg
• Cytochrome-C Ph. Gr.: 0.5 mg
• Sodium Succinate Ph. Gr.: 0.6 mg
• Nicotinamide BP: 10 mg

Preservative: Thiomersal 0.005%

Pharmacology

Cytochrome C plays a crucial role in oxidative phosphorylation, facilitating the synthesis of ATP from ADP. Anhydrous Sodium Succinate, an intermediate compound, enhances ATP production. Adenosine is vital for energy generation necessary for the lens’s essential functions, such as glutathione biosynthesis, intermembrane transport of ions and amino acids, and the synthesis of DNA, RNA, and nucleic acids. Nicotinamide contributes to the formation of ATP and NADPH, which are significant in protecting cells against oxidative stress and free radicals by preserving reduced glutathione levels.

Dosage & Administration

Administer one drop in the affected eye twice daily.

Storage Conditions

Store below 25°C and protect from light. Keep out of reach of children. Avoid touching the dropper tip to any surface to prevent contamination. Do not use the dropper after one month of opening.
