Indications
Bexidal is prescribed for:
- Allergic reactions such as urticaria
- Various types of pruritus
- Eczema and itching
- Drug rashes and insect bites
- Allergic conjunctivitis
- Dermatitis due to nutritional deficiencies
- Hay fever and vasomotor rhinitis
- Allergic asthma
Pharmacology
Bexidal contains Mebhydrolin, which effectively blocks histamine receptors to alleviate or eliminate histamine-related symptoms in the body.
Dosage & Administration
- Adults and Children Over 10 Years: 2-6 tablets per day.
- Children 5-10 Years: 2-4 tablets daily.
- Children 2-5 Years: 1-3 tablets daily.
- Children Up to 2 Years: 1-2 tablets daily.
Administer the medication in several single doses throughout the day. Mebhydrolin can be taken during or shortly after meals. Tablets can be crushed and mixed with food for younger children.

Interactions
Bexidal may enhance the effects of atropine and tricyclic antidepressants. It may also mask symptoms of damage from ototoxic drugs.
Contraindications
Avoid use if you have:
- Hypersensitivity to Mebhydrolin or any tablet ingredients
- Prostatic hypertrophy or narrow-angle glaucoma
- Are in the first trimester of pregnancy
Side Effects
Possible side effects include drowsiness, dizziness, hypotension, muscle weakness, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea or constipation, epigastric pain, headache, blurred vision, tinnitus, depression, nightmares, anorexia, dry mouth, chest tightness, tingling, and sedation.
Pregnancy & Lactation
Safety during pregnancy and breastfeeding has not been confirmed.
Precautions & Warnings
Mebhydrolin may cause drowsiness. Avoid driving, operating machinery, or consuming alcohol while using this medication.
