Indications
This topical preparation effectively treats inflammatory dermal infections, including:
- Tinea pedis
- Tinea cruris
- Tinea corporis
Pharmacology
Clotrimazole, a broad-spectrum antifungal agent, inhibits ergosterol synthesis in fungal cell membranes, leading to fungal death. Betamethasone dipropionate, a corticosteroid, possesses anti-inflammatory properties, although its exact mechanism of action is not fully understood.
Dosage & Administration
Apply a sufficient amount of the cream onto affected areas twice daily for 2 weeks in tinea cruris and tinea corporis, and for 4 weeks in tinea pedis. Avoid use beyond four weeks. Not recommended for children under 12 years.

No known drug interactions.
Contraindications
Avoid if sensitive to any components, corticosteroids, or imidazoles. Discontinue use if irritation occurs. Contraindicated in certain conditions including facial rosacea, acne vulgaris, and perioral dermatitis.
Side Effects
Reported adverse reactions include paresthesia, rash, edema, secondary infection, burning, dry skin, and stinging.
Pregnancy & Lactation
Limited evidence of safety in pregnancy. Use cautiously during pregnancy and lactation, considering potential risks to the fetus and nursing infant.
Overdose Effects
Acute overdose is unlikely to be life-threatening. Adhere to prescribed usage guidelines.
