Indications:
This medication is designed to provide effective relief from symptoms of hyperacidity, including those associated with peptic ulcers, gastritis, peptic esophagitis, gastric acid overproduction, heartburn, sour stomach, and hiatus hernia. It also plays a vital role in preventing stress-induced ulcers and gastrointestinal bleeding. As an antiflatulent, it alleviates gas-related discomfort, including postoperative gas pain. This treatment offers fast relief from acid-related pain, helps disperse gastric foam, and promotes the natural expulsion of gas.
For optimal safety, always follow the advice of a registered healthcare professional.
Composition:
Each tablet contains:
- Dried Aluminium Hydroxide Gel BP (Al2O3, 47% minimum): 425.53 mg
- Magnesium Hydroxide BP: 400 mg
- Simethicone USP: 30 mg
Each 5 ml of suspension contains:
- Aluminium Oxide (Equivalent to Aluminium Hydroxide Gel USP): 200 mg
- Magnesium Hydroxide (Equivalent to Magnesium Hydroxide Paste USP): 400 mg
- Simethicone USP: 30 mg
Pharmacology:
This formulation combines non-systemic acid-neutralizing agents with an antiflatulent to provide both fast and long-lasting relief. The Aluminium Hydroxide and Magnesium Hydroxide neutralize excess stomach acid, helping to alleviate symptoms of ulcers. Simethicone works through its antifoam properties, creating a thin film on the surface of liquids in the stomach, which helps break down foam bubbles. This allows trapped gas to coalesce and be expelled from the gastrointestinal tract.
Used for treating flatulence, meteorism, and to facilitate the elimination of gas, air, or foam from the gastrointestinal tract, this product is also beneficial prior to radiographic imaging. Simethicone is inert and does not get absorbed into the body, ensuring no interference with gastric secretion or nutrient absorption. The drug is excreted unchanged in the feces.
