Indications:

This product is intended to alleviate the following conditions:

Pharmacology:

This formulation combines Paracetamol and Caffeine. Paracetamol possesses analgesic and antipyretic properties with limited anti-inflammatory effects. Caffeine, an alkaloid similar to theophylline, enhances the solubility and permeability of Paracetamol through intermolecular association. Additionally, Caffeine raises the pain threshold and tolerance, and it can also increase vessel tone in the brain, offering further relief for migraines and headaches.

Dosage & Administration:

For adults, the recommended dosage is 1-2 tablets every 4-6 hours, with a maximum of 8 tablets daily. Not recommended for children under 12 years old. Always follow the advice of a healthcare professional.

Interactions:

Potential interactions include reduced serum levels with anticonvulsants, enhanced anticoagulant effects with prolonged use of warfarin, accelerated absorption with metoclopramide and domperidone, increased serum levels with probenecid, increased serum levels of chloramphenicol, and reduced absorption with colestyramine within 1 hour of administration. Severe hypothermia may occur with phenothiazines.

Contraindications:

This product is contraindicated in patients with severe renal impairment, hepatic disease (such as Viral Hepatitis), and known hypersensitivity to Paracetamol or Caffeine.

Side Effects:

Common side effects are usually mild, although rare cases of haematological reactions, pancreatitis, skin rashes, and allergic reactions have been reported.

Pregnancy & Lactation:

Pregnant or breastfeeding individuals should consult healthcare professionals before using this product.

Precautions & Warnings:

Exercise caution in patients with hepatic or renal failure, those taking other hepatotoxic medications, and avoid prolonged use without medical consultation.

Overdose Effects:

Symptoms of overdose may include pallor, nausea, vomiting, anorexia, abdominal pain, liver damage, abnormalities in glucose metabolism, and metabolic acidosis.
