- Heartburn
- Indigestion

- Epigastric and retrosternal discomfort caused by gastric reflux

Pharmacology
Gavilac M (Mint) combines two powerful antacids, Calcium Carbonate and Sodium Bicarbonate, with Sodium Alginate to effectively neutralize excess stomach acid and form a protective barrier. This dual-action mechanism helps:
- Neutralize stomach acid to alleviate pain and discomfort.
- Create a protective raft over the stomach contents, preventing chest discomfort.
The product’s action is purely physical, working locally in the stomach without being absorbed into the bloodstream. Upon ingestion, the combination of ingredients rapidly reacts with gastric acid, forming a near-neutral pH gel raft. This gel caps the acid pocket, reducing exposure to the esophagus and effectively preventing reflux for up to 4 hours. In severe cases, the raft may be refluxed into the esophagus, providing additional relief. Studies show that the raft can also trap bile and pepsin, offering further protection to the esophagus. The fast action of Calcium Carbonate, boosted by Sodium Bicarbonate, ensures quick relief from heartburn and indigestion.
