Indications
Sedno serves as a remedy for symptoms linked with both seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis, addressing issues like sneezing, nasal discharge, itching, congestion, ocular discomfort such as itching, tearing, redness, itching of the palate, and coughing. It is also effective in managing symptoms related to chronic idiopathic urticaria, including itching and the reduction in size and number of hives.
Pharmacology
Desloratadine, the primary active metabolite of Loratadine, acts as a non-sedating, long-acting tricyclic histamine antagonist, selectively targeting H1-receptor histamine antagonism. Additionally, Desloratadine hampers histamine release from human mast cells.
