Indications
Oxifun topical preparation is indicated for treating dermal infections including tinea pedis, tinea cruris, and tinea corporis caused by Trichophyton rubrum, Trichophyton mentagrophytes, or Epidermophyton floccosum. Oxifun Cream is specifically indicated for tinea (pityriasis) versicolor due to Malassezia furfur.
Pharmacology
Contains the antifungal active compound Oxiconazole Nitrate, primarily inhibiting ergosterol biosynthesis critical for cellular membrane integrity. Exhibits activity against a wide range of pathogenic fungi including Epidermophyton floccosum, Trichophyton mentagrophytes, Trichophyton rubrum, and Malassezia furfur.
Dosage
Apply once to twice daily for tinea pedis, tinea corporis, or tinea cruris, and once daily for tinea (pityriasis) versicolor. Treat tinea corporis, tinea cruris, and tinea (pityriasis) versicolor for 2 weeks and tinea pedis for 1 month to reduce recurrence.
Administration
Follow physician’s instructions for application and wash hands after use. Avoid contact with eyes, nose, mouth, and mucous membranes. Use medication for full recommended treatment time, and notify physician if no improvement or worsening occurs.
Interaction
Potential drug interactions with Oxifun have not been systematically evaluated.
Contraindications
Contraindicated in individuals with hypersensitivity to Oxiconazole.
Side Effects
Common side effects may include pruritus, burning, irritation, allergic contact dermatitis, and others.

Pregnancy category B; caution advised during breastfeeding due to excretion in human milk.
