Indications
Treatment of eczematous mycoses, psoriasis, athlete’s foot (tinea pedis), ringworm (tinea corporis), jock itch (tinea cruris), inflammatory intertrigo, diaper dermatitis, and onychomycoses. Recommended for local therapy with an oral antimycotic for onychomycoses treatment.
Description
A broad-spectrum antimycotic with anti-inflammatory, anti-pruritic, and anti-allergic effects. Contains Econazole Nitrate for antifungal action and Triamcinolone Acetonide for antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory effects. Effective against various pathogens including dermatophytes, yeasts, molds, and bacteria.
Dosage & Administration
Apply sparingly to affected area 2 times daily, preferably in the morning and evening. Avoid using with occlusive dressing or on large skin areas. Treatment duration should not exceed 2 weeks unless directed by a healthcare professional.
Interaction
Econazole metabolized by CYP3A4/2C9 oral anticoagulants. Triamcinolone may interact with salicylates, NSAIDs, antidiabetics, amphotericin B, beta-blockers, diuretics, theophylline, ciclosporin, carbamazepine, phenytoin, barbiturates, and rifampicin.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to any ingredient, viral skin infections, tuberculosis, varicella, herpes, rosacea, and fresh vaccination sites.
Side Effects
Transient local irritation, itching, and redness may occur. Rarely, adrenal suppression may occur with long-term use, especially in infants or children.
Pregnancy & Lactation
Avoid extensive use during pregnancy and lactation due to potential fetal abnormalities and excretion in breast milk.
Precautions & Warnings
For external use only; avoid ocular or oral use. Discontinue use if hypersensitivity or chemical irritation occurs. Systemic absorption may lead to adverse effects; use caution, especially in children.
Overdose Effects
If accidentally ingested, treat symptomatically; if applied to eyes, wash with clean water and seek medical attention if symptoms persist.
