Indications
Ziflu is recommended for the treatment of zinc deficiency and conditions leading to zinc depletion. Zinc deficiency may result from poor dietary intake or malabsorption issues. Excessive zinc loss can occur in conditions such as trauma, burns, diarrhea, or protein loss syndromes. Zinc supplementation is advised until clinical improvement is observed; however, in cases of severe malabsorption, metabolic disorders, or ongoing zinc loss, extended supplementation may be necessary.
Always follow a registered healthcare provider’s advice when taking medication.
Pharmacology
Zinc sulfate monohydrate is an essential trace element that plays a vital role in numerous enzymatic processes in the body. Zinc is required for optimal growth, overall health, sexual development, and reproduction. A deficiency in zinc can lead to various health issues such as weakened immune function, slow wound healing, loss of taste and smell, poor night vision, higher susceptibility to infections, alopecia, mental fatigue, skin problems, and underdeveloped reproductive organs.
