Pharmacology
Salbutamol, a synthetic sympathomimetic agent, primarily activates beta-2 adrenergic receptors. It induces bronchodilation by relaxing bronchial smooth muscles, leading to improved pulmonary function as measured by spirometry.

- Children (6-12 years): 5 ml syrup, 3-4 times daily
- Adults and children over 12 years: 2-4 mg tablet or 5-10 ml syrup, 3-4 times daily (maximum single dose of 8 mg tablet)
Salbutamol Respirator Solution should be used with a suitable nebulizer under physician guidance. It should not be injected or ingested.

Overdose Effects
Symptoms of overdose may include angina, headache, nausea, vomiting, and tremors. Beta-blocking agents are recommended as antidotes, but caution is advised in patients with a history of bronchospasm.
Therapeutic Class
Sultolin belongs to the class of short-acting selective beta-2-adrenoceptor stimulants.
