Description
- Rostil is a musculotropic antispasmodic medication designed to relieve muscle cramps and spasms in the stomach and intestines. It is effective in managing conditions like irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) by relaxing gut muscles and restoring normal digestive movement.
Dosage & Administration
- For Adults, Elderly, and Children Over 10 Years:
- Mebeverine Hydrochloride 135 mg Tablets: Take 1 tablet three times daily.
- Mebeverine Hydrochloride 200 mg Capsules: Take 1 capsule twice daily.
- Ideally, take 20 minutes before meals. After achieving the desired effect, gradually reduce the dosage if appropriate.
- Missed Dose: If a dose is missed, take it as soon as possible. Skip the missed dose if it’s close to the next one. Do not double the dose.
- Use in Children: Not recommended for children under 10 years.

Contraindications
- Do not use if hypersensitive to Mebeverine or any other ingredients in the medication.
Side Effects
- Generally well tolerated. Possible side effects may include skin rash, urticaria, and angioedema.
Pregnancy & Lactation
- No teratogenic effects observed in animal studies. Use with caution during pregnancy. Mebeverine does not appear in breast milk at therapeutic doses.
Precautions & Warnings

Overdose Effects
- In case of overdose, CNS excitability may occur. There is no specific antidote; treatment includes gastric lavage and symptomatic care.
