Indications
Anema Saline is indicated for:
- Acute fluid and electrolyte loss conditions such as cholera, acute diarrhea, and vomiting
- Dehydration
- Severely low concentrations of salts in the blood (severe electrolyte depletion)
Composition
Each sachet, when mixed with water, contains essential electrolytes and processed rice powder, vital for patients experiencing dehydration due to conditions like cholera and acute diarrhea.
Pharmacology
This saline acts by replenishing electrolytes crucial for maintaining body fluid balance, correcting acidosis, and facilitating sodium absorption through the small intestine.
Dosage & Administration
- For children aged 6 months to 2 years: 50 ml to 100 ml after each watery stool
- For children aged 2 to 9 years: 100 ml to 200 ml after each watery stool
- For individuals aged 10 years and above: 250 ml to 500 ml after each watery stool
Follow the reconstitution procedure to mix the powder with hot boiled water before administration.

Contraindications
