Pharmacology
Reset contains paracetamol, known for its analgesic and antipyretic properties, with minimal anti-inflammatory effects. It primarily works within the central nervous system (CNS) by increasing pain thresholds through inhibition of cyclooxygenase enzymes (COX-1, COX-2, and COX-3), which are essential for prostaglandin synthesis. Paracetamol is recognized as one of the safest and fastest-acting analgesics, well-tolerated and free from the side effects commonly associated with aspirin.

Interaction
Patients taking barbiturates, tricyclic antidepressants, or alcohol may have reduced ability to metabolize large doses of Reset. Alcohol can increase the risk of hepatotoxicity in cases of overdose. Chronic use of anticonvulsants or oral contraceptives may interfere with therapeutic levels due to enhanced liver metabolism.
Contraindications
Reset is contraindicated in individuals with known hypersensitivity to paracetamol.
Side Effects
Most side effects of Reset are mild; however, some hematological reactions such as thrombocytopenia, leukopenia, pancytopenia, neutropenia, and agranulocytosis have been reported. Occasionally, pancreatitis, skin rashes, and other allergic reactions may occur.
Pregnancy & Lactation
Epidemiological studies indicate no adverse effects from paracetamol when used at recommended dosages during pregnancy, but patients should consult their doctor. Paracetamol is excreted in breast milk in minimal amounts, and breastfeeding is generally considered safe while taking this medication.
Precautions & Warnings
Caution is advised when administering Reset to patients with severe renal or hepatic impairment. The risk of overdose is higher in those with non-cirrhotic alcoholic liver disease. Patients should not exceed the prescribed dosage and should avoid concurrent use of other Reset-containing products.
Overdose Effects
Taking 10 g or more of Reset may result in liver damage. Ingesting 5 g or more can lead to liver injury, especially if combined with certain risk factors. Early symptoms of overdose may include pallor, nausea, vomiting, anorexia, and abdominal pain, with liver damage potentially becoming evident 12 to 48 hours post-ingestion. Immediate medical attention is essential, with activated charcoal treatment considered within the first hour of overdose.
