Indications
Our product is recommended for effectively eliminating H. pylori in cases of active chronic gastric, duodenal, and gastric ulcers.
Pharmacology
Lansoprazole, a potent proton-pump inhibitor, works by suppressing the stomach’s production of gastric acids. Amoxicillin, a penicillin antibiotic, inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis, preventing cross-linkage between peptidoglycan chains in both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. Clarithromycin, a macrolide antibiotic, impedes bacterial growth by disrupting protein synthesis through its binding to the bacterial ribosome’s subunit 50S.
Dosage & Administration
For adults, the recommended dosage is one strip twice daily for 7-14 days, or as advised by a healthcare professional. For geriatric use, caution is advised due to potential asymptomatic renal and hepatic dysfunction.
Interactions
Lansoprazole is metabolized primarily through the cytochrome P450 system, particularly via the CYP3A and CYP2C19 isozymes. Studies indicate minimal clinically significant interactions with drugs metabolized by this system, such as warfarin, antipyrine, indomethacin, and others. However, caution is advised with concomitant use of certain medications, including theophylline with clarithromycin.
Contraindications
Our product is contraindicated in individuals with known hypersensitivity to any of its components.
Side Effects
Common adverse reactions reported in clinical trials, occurring in more than 3% of patients receiving all three components concurrently, include gastrointestinal symptoms like nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea, as well as musculoskeletal, nervous system, skin, and urogenital reactions.
Pregnancy & Lactation
Limited data are available regarding the use of our product in pregnant women. Its use during pregnancy should be determined based on weighing potential benefits against risks. Caution is advised during lactation due to the excretion of amoxicillin in breast milk.
Precautions & Warnings
Serious hypersensitivity reactions, including anaphylaxis, have been reported with amoxicillin use, particularly in individuals with a history of penicillin hypersensitivity. Clarithromycin should be used cautiously in pregnancy unless no alternative therapy is available.
Therapeutic Class
Our product belongs to the therapeutic class of Anti H. pylori drugs.
Storage Conditions
Store in a cool, dry place, shielded from light to maintain product integrity.
