Indications
Vitamin B1, B6 & B12 tablets are prescribed to address deficiencies of these essential vitamins. They are utilized in treating various conditions such as polyneuropathy, including alcoholic or toxic neuropathies, diabetic neuritis, neuralgia, and cervical syndrome. Additionally, they provide supportive treatment in facial paresis, shoulder-arm syndrome, lumbago, sciatica, myalgia, intercostal neuralgia, herpes zoster, and trigeminal neuralgia.
Composition
Each film-coated tablet contains:
- Vitamin B1 (Thiamine Mononitrate) 100 mg
- Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine Hydrochloride) 200 mg
- Vitamin B12 (Cyanocobalamin) 200 microgram
Each 3 ml ampoule contains:
- Thiamine Hydrochloride (Vitamin B1) 100 mg
- Pyridoxine Hydrochloride (Vitamin B6) 100 mg
- Cyanocobalamin (Vitamin B12) 1000 mcg
Pharmacology
Vitamin B1 facilitates energy production from carbohydrates, fats, and amino acids, while also supporting nerve health and cardiovascular function. Vitamin B6 aids in red blood cell formation, protein synthesis, and neurotransmitter production, benefiting cardiovascular health, mood regulation, and sleep patterns. Vitamin B12 is crucial for cell replication, red blood cell production, and nerve health, helping to prevent anemia and cardiovascular diseases.
Dosage & Administration
- Tablet: 1-3 Tablets per day or as advised by the physician.
- Injection: In severe cases, 1 injection daily until symptoms subside, or as per physician’s advice. In milder cases, 1 injection 2-3 times per week. Ampoules are preferably administered intramuscularly.

Contraindications
Vitamin B1, B6, and B12 are contraindicated in patients undergoing levodopa therapy or those with hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients.

While generally well-tolerated, allergic reactions may occur in some cases.
Pregnancy & Lactation
Oral tablet form is recommended during pregnancy and lactation due to the presence of benzyl alcohol, making injections unsuitable.
Precautions & Warnings
Cyanocobalamin should be avoided in patients with subacute degeneration of the spinal cord, and it’s not suitable for treating optic neuropathies associated with elevated plasma cyanocobalamin levels.
Overdose Effects
No specific overdose symptoms are expected within the recommended dosage range. Symptomatic and supportive treatment is advised in cases of known overdose.
