Dosage
For adults and children over 12 years, dosage varies depending on the severity of the infection and formulation used (tablet, suspension, or injection).
Administration
Oral forms can be taken with or without food; however, taking them with a meal can improve absorption, particularly of Clavulanic Acid. Intravenous injections should be administered over specified durations to ensure efficacy and safety.
Interactions
Co-amoxiclav may interact with certain medications, affecting their efficacy. It’s important to discuss all current medications with your healthcare provider.
Contraindications
Patients with a history of hypersensitivity to penicillins or previous jaundice associated with Co-amoxiclav should avoid its use.

While animal studies show no teratogenic effects, caution is advised in pregnant and lactating women, with use recommended only if clearly needed.
Precautions & Warnings
Special care is needed in patients with certain conditions such as renal impairment or those on anticoagulation therapy.
