Indications
Lubrimax Ophthalmic Solution is designed to provide soothing relief for dry eyes caused by irritation, environmental exposure such as wind or sun, or other discomforts. It acts as a lubricant to alleviate dryness and protect against irritation.
Always follow your healthcare provider’s advice for use.
Composition
Each milliliter (ml) of Lubrimax Ophthalmic Solution contains:
- Active Ingredient: Carboxymethylcellulose Sodium USP 10 mg
- Preservative: Purite 0.0075%
Pharmacology
Carboxymethylcellulose Sodium serves as an ocular lubricant, effectively relieving symptoms of moderate to severe dry eye syndrome (DES). It offers prolonged protection against dryness and irritation. This formulation mimics natural tears, providing moisture and comfort. The preservative used is gentle and non-sensitizing, converting into natural tear components. The active ingredient, Carboxymethylcellulose Sodium, works as a viscosity enhancer, which increases the retention time of the eye drops on the surface of the eye, providing long-lasting relief.
