Pharmacology

Ipratropium Bromide, a quaternary ammonium compound, exhibits anticholinergic properties, inhibiting vagal reflexes by antagonizing acetylcholine’s action. This mechanism prevents the increase in cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cyclic GMP) concentration in bronchial smooth muscle cells.
