Pharmacology
Indapamide, the active ingredient in Idatix SR, functions as a diuretic antihypertensive. It promotes vasodilation by inhibiting the transport of calcium and other ions (sodium, potassium) across cellular membranes. Its antihypertensive effects extend beyond renal function, reducing vascular hyperreactivity and lowering total peripheral and arteriolar resistance.
Dosage & Administration
Take one tablet daily, preferably in the morning. In cases of more severe hypertension, Indapamide can be combined with other classes of antihypertensive medications. The safety and efficacy of Indatix SR in pediatric patients have not been established.

Interaction
