Indications
This tablet is formulated for the treatment and prevention of deficiencies in Folic Acid and Zinc.
Use only under the supervision of a registered physician.
Pharmacology
This tablet combines Folic Acid with Zinc Sulfate Monohydrate. Zinc is a vital trace element crucial for human health, playing a key role in various enzyme systems. A severe deficiency in Zinc can lead to issues such as skin lesions, hair loss, diarrhea, increased infection risk, and cognitive impairments. Folic Acid, part of the B-Vitamins, is converted in the body to tetrahydrofolate, essential for numerous metabolic functions, including the synthesis of purine and pyrimidine nucleotides necessary for DNA formation. Insufficient intake of Folic Acid can result in megaloblastic anemia, often caused by malnutrition, malabsorption, increased demand during pregnancy, or the use of folate antagonists.
