Indications
Evo TS Eye Drops are formulated to treat bacterial conjunctivitis caused by a range of susceptible bacteria, including both Gram-positive and Gram-negative strains. This includes:
- Gram-Positive Bacteria: Corynebacterium species, Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus epidermidis, Streptococcus pneumoniae, and various Streptococcus groups.
- Gram-Negative Bacteria: Acinetobacter iwoffi, Haemophilus influenzae, Serratia marcescens.
Additionally, Evo Eye Drops are effective for treating other ocular infections such as bacterial corneal ulcers, blepharitis, hordeolum, and perioperative conditions.
Pharmacology
Evo TS Eye Drops contain Levofloxacin, a third-generation fluoroquinolone with broad-spectrum antibacterial activity. This sterile ophthalmic solution works by inhibiting bacterial enzymes—topoisomerase IV and DNA gyrase—necessary for DNA replication and repair, effectively combating a wide range of ocular pathogens.
Dosage & Administration
- 0.5% Solution:
- Adults and Children (1 year and older): Use 1-2 drops in the affected eye(s) every 2 hours while awake for the first 2 days. Follow with 1-2 drops every 4 hours while awake for days 3 to 7.
- 1.5% Solution:
- Adults and Children (6 years and older): Administer 1-2 drops every 30 minutes to 2 hours while awake for the first 3 days. Continue with 1-2 drops every 1 to 4 hours while awake from day 4 until treatment completion.
- Children under 1 year: Safety and effectiveness not established.

Interactions
Evo TS Eye Drops have not been specifically studied for drug interactions, but systemic quinolones may affect theophylline levels, caffeine metabolism, and enhance warfarin effects.
Contraindications
Avoid use if allergic to Levofloxacin, other quinolones, or any component of Evo Eye Drops.
Side Effects
Common side effects (1-3% of users) include transient blurred vision, foreign body sensation, headache, and ocular discomfort. Rare reactions may include allergic responses, lid edema, and dryness.
