Indications
Evo Eye Drops are formulated to treat bacterial conjunctivitis caused by a range of susceptible bacteria, including both Gram-positive and Gram-negative strains. This includes:
- Gram-Positive Bacteria: Corynebacterium species, Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus epidermidis, Streptococcus pneumoniae, and various Streptococcus groups.
- Gram-Negative Bacteria: Acinetobacter iwoffi, Haemophilus influenzae, Serratia marcescens.
Additionally, Evo Eye Drops are effective for treating other ocular infections such as bacterial corneal ulcers, blepharitis, hordeolum, and perioperative conditions.
Pharmacology
Evo Eye Drops contain Levofloxacin, a third-generation fluoroquinolone with broad-spectrum antibacterial activity. This sterile ophthalmic solution works by inhibiting bacterial enzymes—topoisomerase IV and DNA gyrase—necessary for DNA replication and repair, effectively combating a wide range of ocular pathogens.
