Pharmacology
Emobac features two main types of active ingredients:
- Antimicrobials (Benzalkonium Chloride & Chlorhexidine Dihydrochloride): These components work to:
- Eliminate bacteria that can exacerbate eczema.
- Prevent infections caused by scratching itchy skin.
- Emollients (Liquid Paraffin & Isopropyl Myristate): These ingredients:
- Hydrate, soften, and protect the skin by locking in moisture and restoring its natural barrier.
- Mitigate skin-drying and irritating effects from washing, bathing, and using conventional soaps or cleansing products.
Emobac can complement other emollients or treatments prescribed by your healthcare provider for managing dry skin conditions.
Dosage
For Adults, Children, and the Elderly:
- For Skin Application: Apply the lotion to the affected areas as needed and gently massage until fully absorbed.
- As a Soap Substitute: This lotion can replace regular soap or shower gel in your bathing routine.
Always follow the guidance of a registered healthcare professional.
Administration
Emobac is intended for external use only. For optimal results, incorporate this product into your daily routine as often as required.

- Press the pump several times to prime before dispensing.
For Leave-On Application:
- Apply the lotion to the affected skin areas.
- Smooth it gently into the skin, allowing any excess to absorb.

- After cleansing, pat your skin dry with a soft towel to prevent irritation from rubbing.
Always consult with a registered healthcare professional before use.

Contraindications
Avoid using this lotion if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to any of its ingredients, including benzalkonium chloride, chlorhexidine dihydrochloride, liquid paraffin, or isopropyl myristate.
Side Effects
As with any medication, side effects may occur. If you experience severe reactions such as swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat, hives, wheezing, dizziness, metallic taste, or fainting, discontinue use immediately and seek urgent medical assistance.
Emobac is formulated for dry or problematic skin areas across the body but may cause rare skin reactions (redness, irritation, itching) if used excessively, particularly in skin folds or diaper areas.
Pregnancy & Lactation
Emobac is considered safe for use during pregnancy and breastfeeding, having been used widely in similar formulations without reported issues. However, comprehensive safety trials have not been conducted.
Precautions & Warnings
- Severe allergic reactions are rare but possible. If you have previously experienced issues with chlorhexidine-containing products, do not use this lotion.
- Avoid smoking or being near open flames, as the product may increase burn risk. Fabrics in contact with Emobac can ignite more easily, posing a fire hazard.
- Conduct a patch test for sensitive skin before applying widely, especially on the face or for children.
When used as a soap alternative, be cautious, as surfaces may become slippery.
Note: Cetostearyl alcohol may cause local skin reactions. Consult your healthcare provider if you have a history of contact dermatitis to any ingredients.
