Indications
Dynase Nasal Spray is designed to alleviate the symptoms of seasonal allergic rhinitis in individuals aged 6 years and older. It combines the benefits of Azelastine Hydrochloride and Fluticasone Propionate to provide effective symptomatic relief.
Pharmacology
Azelastine Hydrochloride functions as an H1-receptor antagonist, targeting histamine activity in isolated tissues. Its primary metabolite, desmethylazelastine, also exhibits H1-receptor antagonist properties. Fluticasone Propionate, a synthetic trifluorinated corticosteroid, offers anti-inflammatory benefits. Although the exact mechanism by which Fluticasone Propionate alleviates allergic rhinitis symptoms is not fully understood, corticosteroids like Fluticasone Propionate influence a variety of cell types and mediators involved in inflammation, including mast cells, eosinophils, neutrophils, macrophages, lymphocytes, histamine, eicosanoids, leukotrienes, and cytokines.
