Indications
This gel is intended for the relief of mild to moderate inflammation, pain, and discomfort caused by muscle stiffness, sprains, strains, and rheumatic or non-serious arthritic conditions. It provides analgesic and symptomatic relief for these issues. Always use this medication as directed by a registered physician.
Pharmacology
This topical gel contains Mucopolysaccharide Polysulphate (MPS) and Salicylic Acid, both known for their anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects. MPS, a non-steroidal compound, provides anti-inflammatory relief through a mild inhibition of PGE2 synthesis and an indirect reduction in LTB4 production, according to in vitro research. It also acts as a heparinoid with anti-coagulant and thrombolytic properties by enhancing urokinase activity and inhibiting hyaluronidase to control exudation. Salicylic Acid, known for its keratolytic action, complements the formula by softening the skin, making it easier for MPS to penetrate and act on the underlying inflamed tissues. This combination targets pain and inflammation effectively, particularly for those suffering from rheumatic or non-serious arthritic conditions. The effects of MPS and Salicylic Acid are localized, working only at the site of application.
Dosage & Administration
For adults, elderly patients, and children aged 12 and above: apply 5 to 15 cm (2 to 6 inches) of the gel to the affected area, massaging it in up to four times daily.
Use in Children and Adolescents
