Indications
This cream is invaluable for treating superficial infections caused by a spectrum of microorganisms, both gram-positive and gram-negative. Its versatility extends to aiding in burn recovery, promoting skin regeneration in wounds and ulcers, managing otitis externa, postoperative infections, neurodermatitis, and eczema. It can complement systemic steroid therapy for specific pyoderma cases.
Pharmacology
Betamethasone, a potent topical corticosteroid, swiftly addresses inflammatory dermatoses and various types of psoriasis. Neomycin Sulfate, a broad-spectrum bactericidal amino-glycoside, targets an array of gram-positive and gram-negative pathogens, including Staphylococcus aureus and Proteus vulgaris. With superior penetration and distribution capabilities, this preparation is particularly effective in hairy and intertriginous areas, as well as for treating wet skin ulcerations.
Dosage & Administration
For adults, apply a thin layer to affected skin areas 3 to 4 times daily. In chronic conditions, gradually reduce application frequency until used as infrequently as once weekly, as per physician guidance.
For children: Avoid use in children under 1 year old. Treatment duration for children should typically not exceed 5 days unless otherwise advised by a physician.
